Rules of Play for Niagara Mega 50/50 Draw Electronic Raffle

General

By purchasing a ticket in the Niagara Mega 50/50 Draw, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. All inquiries regarding the conduct, chance of winning, prizing or procedures of lotteries may be made to Hospice Niagara prior to the purchase of a ticket. All orders will be processed and fulfilled under the supervision of BUMP. In the event of any discrepancy, the records of BUMP shall be deemed correct and final. The liability of Hospice Niagara shall be limited to the purchase price of the Niagara Mega 50/50 lottery ticket.  

Eligibility

The following individuals, and all of their immediate family members residing in the same household, are prohibited from ordering tickets:

·       Hospice Niagara’s Board of Directors

·       Employees of Hospice Niagara

·       Registered gaming suppliers and employees of BUMP, its affiliates and members of licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program.

Violation of this rule will lead to disqualification, and purchased tickets will be considered void.

Ticket purchasers must be at least 18 years of age and tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw(s). Tickets must be ordered within the province of Ontario.

From time to time, the Niagara Mega 50/50 may engage volunteers to assist with ticket sales at various locations. Volunteers are eligible to purchase tickets as long as they are not included in any of the categories on the prohibited list.

 

Tickets and Payment

The official online website for ticket sales is mega5050.caTickets sold through the website are provided to the ticket holder via a valid email address. Tickets may also be sold via face-to-face sales with handheld ticket sales devices, supplied by BUMP, at various locations throughout the region, starting at 3:00 PM on October 27, 2025. Tickets sold using handheld ticket sales devices are provided to the ticket holder via printed ticket. 

Online ticket orders shall be made by credit card exclusively. No cash, cheques or debit will be accepted. Handheld ticket sales devices accept credit card, debit or cash, no cheques will be accepted. 

The Primary Ticket Purchaser may, at their option, add the names of up to two additional persons to the ticket at the time of purchase. These Additional Persons are not ticketholders and Hospice Niagara has no obligation or liability to any person named on a ticket other than the Primary Ticket Purchaser, who may or may not elect to share any win information and prize(s) with any Additional Person named on the Primary Ticket Purchaser’s winning ticket(s).

Ticket prices are:

·       1 ticket for $10

·       10 tickets for $20

·       100 tickets for $50

·       250 tickets for $100

·       500 tickets for $175

 

Guidelines for purchasing ticket bundles are as follows:

·       Only ONE method of payment.

·       Only ONE mailing address.

·       All tickets in a pack must contain the same information and will be sent to the Primary Ticket Purchaser.

·       It is the responsibility of the Primary Ticket Holder to share win information and prize(s) with any other person(s) associated with winning ticket(s).

All ticket purchasers must provide an email address, telephone number and a valid credit card to complete the purchase of their tickets

The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. It is the responsibility of ticket purchasers to ensure that they receive their ticket(s). No refunds will be issued after commencement of the draws. The liability of the licensee shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket, which is not tax deductible. Tax receipts cannot be issued for ticket purchases.  

All valid tickets included in the monthly Early Bird Draws (including the Early Bird Draws winning tickets) will be included in the monthly 50/50 Draw.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow us, Hospice Niagara, and its licensed gaming suppliers providing services to this program, the right, if you are a prize winner, to use and publicly disclose your name, municipality of residence, image, photograph and likeness as a prize winner in any means required by the terms of our lottery license and/or that we consider appropriate for purposes of administering and promoting the lottery, without notice, review or approval or additional compensation to you.

 

 

Draws

All draws will take place at The Stabler Centre, 403 Ontario Street, Unit 2, St. Catharines, Ontario, at 3:00 PM as follow:

 

·        Draw #1: Ticket Sales - Starting at 3:00 PM on Monday, October 27th, 2025 to Monday, November 24th, 2025. 50/50 Draw to take place on Monday, November 24th, 2025. The winning prize will be half of the sales. This draw will have a guaranteed prize of $2,500. When Ticket Sales exceed $5,000, the winning prize will be half of the sales.

-        Early Bird Draw #1: Monday, November 3rd, 2025. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #2: Monday, November 10th, 2025. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #3: Monday, November 17th, 2025. Prize: $1,000

 

·        Draw #2: Ticket Sales - Starting at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 to Monday, December 29th, 2025. 50/50 Draw to take place on Monday, December 29th, 2025. The winning prize will be half of the sales. This draw will have a guaranteed prize of $2,500. When Ticket Sales exceed $5,000, the winning prize will be half of the sales.

-        Early Bird Draw #1: Monday, December 1st, 2025. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #2: Monday, December 8th, 2025. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #3: Monday, December 15th, 2025. Prize: $1,000

-        Bonus Draw: Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025. Prize: $1,000

 

·        Draw #3: Ticket Sales - Starting at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 to Monday, January 26th, 2026. 50/50 Draw to take place on Monday, January 26th, 2026. The winning prize will be half of the sales. This draw will have a guaranteed prize of $2,500. When Ticket Sales exceed $5,000, the winning prize will be half of the sales.

-        Early Bird Draw #1: Monday, January 5th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #2: Monday, January 12th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #3: Monday, January 19th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

 

·        Draw #4: Ticket Sales - Starting at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 to Monday, February 23rd, 2026. 50/50 Draw to take place on Monday, February 23rd, 2026. The winning prize will be half of the sales. This draw will have a guaranteed prize of $2,500. When Ticket Sales exceed $5,000, the winning prize will be half of the sales.

-        Early Bird Draw #1: Monday, February 2nd, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #2: Monday, February 9th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #3: Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

 

·        Draw #5: Ticket Sales - Starting at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 to Monday, March 30th, 2026. 50/50 Draw to take place on Monday, March 30th, 2026. The winning prize will be half of the sales. This draw will have a guaranteed prize of $2,500. When Ticket Sales exceed $5,000, the winning prize will be half of the sales.

-        Early Bird Draw #1: Monday, March 2nd, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #2: Monday, March 9th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Bonus Draw: Tuesday, March 17th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #3: Monday, March 23rd, 2026. Prize: $1,000

 

·        Draw #6: Ticket Sales - Starting at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 to Monday, April 27th, 2026. 50/50 Draw to take place on Monday, April 27th, 2026. The winning prize will be half of the sales. This draw will have a guaranteed prize of $2,500. When Ticket Sales exceed $5,000, the winning prize will be half of the sales.

-        Early Bird Draw #1: Monday, April 6th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #2: Monday, April 13th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

-        Early Bird Draw #3: Monday, April 20th, 2026. Prize: $1,000

All tickets will be available for purchase until 3:00 PM on draw dates. The monthly 50/50 ticket sales re-start approximately at 3:00 PM the day after the draws.

All winners will be published online at mega5050.ca following the draws.

 

Draw Control

Ticket Fulfillment and Draw Control by BUMP. 

All draws will be made using Random Number Generator (RNG) software under the supervision of BUMP. Hospice Niagara will randomly select one (1) winner from among all eligible ticket numbers for each of the prize draws listed below. All draw times are approximate. Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent prize draws.

Prize draws follow a strict set of procedures, with draw control oversight by the professional services firm of BUMP and under licensing approval by the licensing body (AGCO).

All draws will take place at the offices of Hospice Niagara, 403 Ontario St. Unit 2, St. Catharines, ON L2N 1L5. The records of BUMP shall be deemed correct and final.

Prizes, Prize Claim and Prize Winner Notification

A total of 50% of gross ticket sales will contribute to the monthly 50/50 prize amount.

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the official ticket. All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prize. Winners may also be contacted by telephone and all winning ticket numbers will be posted at mega5050.ca. Prizes will be awarded to the Primary Ticket Purchaser listed on the ticket. Prize notification letters are addressed to the Primary Ticket Purchaser. It is the responsibility of the Primary Ticket Purchaser to allocate the prize if necessary. Prize winners are asked to contact events@hospiceniagara.ca or 905-984-8766 to claim prizes.

Prize winners will be required to present their winning ticket — either the printed ticket (from the handheld ticket sales devices) or the electronic ticket received by email — along with valid government-issued photo identification to verify the prize winner and confirm an age of 18 years or older.

All tickets purchased will be issued in sequential order starting with number. There is no limit to the number of Niagara Mega 50/50 Draw tickets that can be sold.

·        Early Bird Draws Prize comprises: Eighteen (18) $1,000 cash prize.

·        Bonus Draw Prize comprises: Two (2) $1,000 cash prize.

·        One (1) monthly prize will be awarded in Niagara Mega 50/50 Draw. Six (6) monthly draws in total. The total value of this single cash prize will be one half of the total proceeds received.

All cash prize payments will be made by cheque.

All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Please allow four weeks to receive prize cheques. Unclaimed prizes will be secured for a period of six (6) months following the close of the lottery. Unclaimed prizes will be reported to, and a charitable allocation will be approved by, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

 

A list of winners will be posted online at mega5050.ca. Winners will be posted within 48 hours following the draw. A printed list of winners will be available upon request. Call 905- 984-8766 or email events@hospiceniagara.ca.

 

 

Subscriptions

When purchasing tickets, there will be an option to subscribe for automatic purchases for future weekly draws of the Raffle.


To subscribe, proceed through the checkout process. Before entering payment details, an option to subscribe to future monthly draws for the Raffle will be presented. Select the price point, quantity of tickets per draw, and continue with the purchase. Subscriptions for future monthly draws will be made using the selected payment method.


Subscription purchases will begin with the next monthly Raffle and end at the conclusion of Draw #6.

Subscriptions can be canceled at any time. To unsubscribe, simply access the account and unsubscribe. An account can be accessed or created at any time via the Subscription Account link on our website.

 Unsubscribing can also be done by emailing events@hospiceniagara.ca a copy of the ticket purchased, ensuring it is sent from the email address used to subscribe. No refunds will be issued.

If a credit card is declined, the raffle ticket purchase will not be processed, and the subscription will be automatically cancelled. To resubscribe, the subscription process must be completed again, including updated credit card information.

 The credit card on file will only be charged when the monthly draw commences. Charges will occur once on the day the draw opens. If additional tickets are desired, they can be purchased through the checkout process separately.

 The option to choose the price point, quantity of tickets, and multiple price points for subscription will be available.


Privacy

By claiming a prize, the winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and the audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone call, for any publicity purposes by Hospice Niagara. Hospice Niagara respects the privacy of its lottery supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process lottery ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of Hospice Niagara, and ask for their support for our mission. If at any time you wish to be excluded from such contacts, email info@hospiceniagara.ca and we will accommodate your request.

Limitation of Liability

By purchasing a ticket, purchaser releases and holds harmless Hospice Niagara, the prize providers and all of their respective directors, officers, members, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with Niagara Mega 50/50 or any prize won.

Governing Law

These rules and the rights and obligations and relations of the parties hereto shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Each party hereto does hereby attorn to the jurisdiction of the Courts of the Province of Ontario.
